Pray for Vocations to the Consecrated Religious Life

This year we participated in the following Vocation Awareness events:

Town Meeting with Cardinal Justin Rigali,
Archbishop of Philadelphia

Each year, Juniors from the Archdiocese gather with Cardinal Rigali to pray and discuss Vocations to Religious Life. This year we met at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer.

The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Young women interested in speaking about a vocation to religious life are invited to contact Sister Carmen at ihmvoc2@aol.com or call 610-889-1553 ext. 532

Vocation Meetings

Throughout the year, we will gather any interested students for an informal discussion of Religious Life and Vocations in service to the Church. Interested students should make themselves known to the School Minister. These meetings are confidential in nature as many people contemplating Religious Life have not revealed this to their friends.

Pray for Vocations

Prayer for Vocations

We praise you for your goodness. We thank you for your gifts, O Lord. We ask you to strengthen us to live in love and service to others after the example of your son, Jesus Christ. Help us to see our vocations as a journey toward you. You have called us, not to set us apart, but to bring us together with others who need our love. Make us faithful signs of your presence in our midst. We ask you through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Amen.

Prayer To Know One's Vocation

Lord, my God and my loving Father,

you have made me to know you, to love you, to serve you,

and thereby to find and to fulfill myself.

I know that you are in all things,

and that every path can lead me to you.

But of them all, there is one especially

by which you want me to come to you.

Since I will do what you want of me,

I pray you, send your Holy Spirit to me: into my mind,

to show me what you want of me; into my heart,

to give me the determination to do it,

and to do it with all my love, with all my mind,

and with all my strength right to the end.
