Prendie's Seniors at a Glance:
- Last year, the Class of 2010 earned $10,191,208.00 in scholarship money
- Accepted to such schools as Penn State University, Widener University, Neumann College, Philadelphia University, St. John's University, Catholic University, Princeton University, Pennsylvania University, Syracuse University, University of Pittsburgh, Villanova University, St Joseph’s University, Temple University and Drexel University among others
- 85 Seniors earned 316 scholarships
Guidance Program
The high school years are years of decisions – critically important decisions that may affect a person’s entire future. The Guidance Department, which implements the school guidance program, is concerned with assisting students in decision-making. It focuses on the student as a person as well as a student, and on his future as well as the present. It endeavors to help students recognize their talents, establish realistic goals, make prudent choices, and overcome obstacles.
The Annual College Night Program
The Annual College Night Program will Be held October 13,2009. The program will begin at 7:30 P.M and will be held in Bonner's gym. This is an excellent time for Seniors and their parents to discuss admission requirements and financial aid with college representatives.
Seniors requesting transcripts must see Marge Roccio in the Main Office at Bonner to complete the request form and pay the $5.00 fee.

More information about the scholarships listed below is available in the Guidance Office on the Scholarship bulletin board. Scholarships with a AA after it means that the application is available in the Guidance Office.

Visiting Schools
Check below for the dates and names of the schools visiting Prendie in the near future. Seniors MUST sign up in the Guidance Office at least TWO DAYS in advance in order to meet with the school's representative.

Open Houses
Below are listed upcoming College Open House Programs. Some of these programs are at the college and some are at a nearby location. For more details check the Open House bulletin board in the Guidance Office.
Guidance Links
www.educationPlanner.org is a website for career, college, and scholarship searches. It is a free service of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. It is a very useful tool for a student to plan his future.
www.ncaaclearinghouse.net is a website for student-athletes to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse in in order to be eligible to participate in any Division I and II sport. The student must apply online giving the following: name and address; high school code (391048); and pay the fee by credit card. Be sure to print out BOTH release forms and bring them to the Guidence Office.
Student Groups
Special advice is available for student support in dealing with substance abuse, parental separation and divorce, death of a parent or other loved one or terminal illness of a family member, learning to control and manage behavioral difficulties, dealing with peers, learning how to handle gambling problems, and other personal matters.
Career/College
Brochures, pamphlets, computer and Internet resources, and individual counseling sessions are available for career planning. Reference books and Internet resources provide students with information about colleges, careers, scholarships, and financial aid.
Testing
Individual, group, and diocesan testing programs are offered to students throughout their four years of high school. These include the Terra Nova, the PSAT, the SAT I and SAT II, the ACT, and Career Interest Surveys.
