STUDENT SHADOW DAY AT PRENDIE

A student shadow visit at Prendie is an excellent opportunity to experience our campus.  As a shadow student you get to spend a day with a current student and follow their roster for the day which includes being our guest for lunch.  The goal of the shadow program is to offer elementary school students a chance to experience a typical day at Prendie.

When scheduling a shadow visit you may request to shadow a current Prendie student or we will assign you a host based on your classroom or extracurricular interests.  We recommend that you shadow a freshman to get a realistic feel for what an incoming freshman schedule is like at Prendie.  However, we also understand feeling comfortable with your host is very important to the overall experience, and will arrange for an upperclassmen host at your request.

If you are interested in scheduling a shadow visit, contact the Admissions Office. Whenever possible, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance of the anticipated visit so that we may notify the shadow host and prepare for the visit, ensuring the most positive experience possible. All grades are welcome to visit Prendie.

Notes to Remember About Student Shadowing at Prendie:

  • Typical shadow days are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:42 p.m. Please report to the main
    office at 8:00 a.m.
  • We will provide you with a lunch voucher for you to eat in our cafeteria with your host.
  • We ask that you come dressed in your elementary school uniform or (black, navy blue or khaki dress slacks with a white button-down blouse, polo, turtleneck or golf type shirt and closed toe shoes).
  • Shadow visitors may want to bring something to read in case the host has a quiz or test on the day of the visit.
  • Typically we dismiss at 2:02 p.m. on Thursdays. If you have any questions about dismissal time, please contact Tom Oropeza, Director of Campus Admissions at oropeza@prendie.com or 610-259-0280 ext 1206
